The Species database holds information on the most important plants, animals, fungi and insects that play a role in our Permaculture projects. For each species, we describe it in terms that make it easy to identify in your garden, and index it in ways that will help you to find useful plants for every niche in your system. We also link to other public databases that provide more detailed information.
As our community grows, you will be able to find techniques and strategies that refer to each species. When viewing the entry for "Banana" for example, you will see propagation techniques and recipes that are recommended in your region. The regional recommendations come from people who have actual experience, when they make an entry for that species in their journal.
